DI for
Anesthesiologists
If an Anesthesiologist can not perform an epidural, than
they are out of business…
LEFS can insure that specialty!!!
Disability Insurance for the Anesthesiologist
For persons in this branch of the medical field it is very
important to have a disability policy with own occupation
rider and residual benefits. With the Standard contract,
you have a lifetime own-occupation benefit. Standard is the
only company that offers a full own-occupation rider to age
67. Standard will pronounce you totally disabled if you can
not perform the specific duties of an Anesthesiologist.
Meaning that you can go back to school be a psychiatrist and
still receive your disability benefit.
Knowing that a large part of an Anesthesiologist’s income is
from epidurals, if something were to happen an you could no
longer give them you would then need disability insurance
with the own- occupation rider.
What is Residual Benefit?
Residual Benefit means that
if you are at work and are not totally disabled, but because
of your injury you have suffered an income loss of at least
20% of your previous income. The Standard will pay the
other 80% of your benefit.
